Links are a gameplay element introduced in Kingdom Hearts III. Through it, Sora is able to summon certain characters, linking his attacks with theirs.

As Sora prepares to continue to his journey to gain the power of waking, Master Yen Sid gives Sora a heartbinder, which Master Yen Sid says will allow him to summon on the power of his friends. The heartbinder allows Sora to summon various characters, linking his attacks with theirs.
Gameplay[edit | edit source]
Sora acquires a new link by first acquiring the associated heartbinder. When using links, Sora must first have a full MP gauge. Using links consumes all of Sora's MP, but will completely heal Sora. When using a link, Sora's commands are completely replaced with different commands related to that link. For example, when linking with Wreck-It Ralph, Sora's commands are replaced with those related to building blocks and charging through enemies. Links are only avaialble for a limited time. A finish command also appears, which can be used at any time while the link is there, though using it ends the link's availablity, returning to Sora's regular combat. This finish command differs for each link, and each one is usually made more powerful by using the link's attacks throughout the time available.
