The news for Kingdom Hearts III keeps coming. During Sony's PlayStation conference at E3 today, a new trailer was unveiled showing off the latest world in the long-awaited title, The Caribbean, based on Disney's 2007 live-action film Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End!
The trailer starts by showing off Sora, Donald, and Goofy in their new pirate-themed clothes; this marks the third Disney world featuring a wardrobe change for the crew. It then shows off Captain Jack Sparrow aboard the Black Pearl on top of the sand, making its way to the sea, and several characters from the film, including Tia Dalma, Joshamee Gibbs, and returning characters Elizabeth Swann, Will Turner, and Captain Hector Barbossa. Afterwards, several battle and gameplay scenes are shown off, including several in the jungle and underwater, and even a ship battle!
Following the gameplay scenes, several cutscenes are shown, in which Luxord is shown to be back, searching for a box. Then, a battle against the Lava, Ice, and Wind Titans is shown before Hercules intervenes. Scenes from the Toy Box, Arendelle, Monstropolis, Olympus, and Twilight Town are shown. The trailer ends with a reveal of Kairi's new appearance, including a new haircut, as she joins Lea atop a hill, and then finally a scene featuring Riku and who appears to be the Riku Replica.
Following the trailer, Square Enix announced a special edition PlayStation 4 Pro, as well as a PlayStation 4-exclusive Kingdom Hearts All-in-One package containing Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III.
With so much information, we're very overwhelmed and excited for the January release of Kingdom Hearts III. It can't come soon enough!
