Water Core is a Heartless that appears in various worlds across Kingdom Hearts III.

While traveling up Mount Olympus, Sora and his companions come to the river, which is overflowed and churning ferociously. Soon they uncover a pack of Water Cores living inside the river and are forced to dispatch them. With the Water Cores defeated, the river returns to its peaceful state, allowing the travelers to continue up the mountain until they reach a rushing waterfall. Another swarm of Water Cores makes its presence known and battle ensues. Once the Cores are defeated, the waterfall reduces to a trickle, allowing the group to continue on.
