Complete Kingdom Hearts series listed in Microsoft Store, available February 18
- Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue will be available February 18.
- Both titles were momentarily listed in the Microsoft Store earlier this month before being removed.
- There is still no official word from Square Enix or Microsoft on today's release.
Earlier this month, each of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue were found listed in the Microsoft Store for Xbox One.[1][2] Shortly thereafter, however, each was removed from the store, with no statement from Microsoft or Square Enix. Today, both titles have been relisted in the Microsoft Store, and will be available February 18 as previously reported.
The two titles make up nine of the major titles in the Kingdom Hearts series, bringing parity in the available games between both Sony's PlayStation 4 and Microsoft's Xbox One consoles. For those who don't remember, series executive producer Ichiro Hazama announced at Microsoft's X019 conference last November that the series would be coming to Xbox One in 2020.[3] The announcement followed the success of the release of Kingdom Hearts III last year on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but at the time, no release date or further details were given. At this time, there's still no official statement from Square Enix or Microsoft regarding today's release.
