Kingdom Hearts & I

Since you're reading my userpage, I suppose that you're out on a quest to discover more about me. Well, it's only fitting that I talk a little bit about myself to sate that thirst for knowledge, seeing as you've read down this far. As the page states at the top, my username is Aixon, which just so happens to be a Nobody-esque anagram alteration of my real name, which I shall leave for you to guess...

I first became interested in Kingdom Hearts at the beginning of 2013, having heard little bits about the games before, but not having thought much of it. A friend of mine introduced me to a You Tube cutscene movie of the first game. At first, I was a little skeptical, but after watching for a bit, I was hooked. From then on, I devoted much of my life to watching all of the games through, before eventually deciding to buy myself a 3DS and along with it, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. Both games I have played, and have loved every moment of... Well, except perhaps for my futile attempts to defeat Saïx in my first run through of 358/2 Days at level 11 and the painstaking process (literally - my fingers hurt) of beating the Ruler of the Sky. I don't own any Playstation game console myself, so I have had to content myself with watching the rest of the games that exist in the series. I have since dabbled a bit in Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ, but quit after a few months of playing, as I found the game too repetitive and lacking in plot-lines.

My KH Wiki Journey

I joined The Keyhole on July 22nd, 2013. I was actually introduced to the site by the same friend who originally introduced me to the series. From that point onwards, I started to edit on the wiki and became an active and valued member in my own right. I was guided and nurtured by the existing staff members of the wiki (Chainoffire, RoxasXIIILK, FinalRest), and can now happily feel that I am a part of the community. On the 17th of January, 2015, which just so happened to be my birthday, I became a moderator on The Keyhole. This marked the start of an even more active period for me, where I really got my teeth into doing some major editing. Among the tasks I completed were three extensive projects: One to increase the wiki's body of knowledge related to all things Dream Drop Distance (including writing whole articles from scratch and filling out endless tables); another to expand all the wiki's mini-game articles and provide them with infoboxes; and finally a project to make sure the wiki was completely up-to-date with every music file from the whole series. The completion of all three of these extraordinary tasks left me with a great deal of satisfaction and respect from other wiki members.

2016 for me marked the start of a new and uncertain era on the wiki. With the departure of one our active admins, LegendAqua, and the inactivity of many former users and staff members, things changed just a little. However, I remained on the site to help make the Keyhole the best wiki it could be for Kingdom Hearts. On the 20th September, 2016, I was promoted to administrator status. After this, I continued to work on many mainspace articles, though my attention turned somewhat to making sure the wiki was easy to navigate and accessible to new editors. I also took charge of writing a blog about the latest Kingdom Hearts-related news, and was left in charge of the monthly featured media and article displays.

On June 28th, 2018, I, along with the other remaining staff members of the community (Chainoffire, FinalRest and Draaek), made the decision to abandon The Keyhole and move to this site to start afresh with KeybladeSpyMaster, away from the oppressive policies that FANDOM imposed on us. This new chapter is exciting and I am curious to see what the future holds.

A Little Something About Me

I live in the United Kingdom and I am Welsh.

I am a hard-working person, and will always endeavour to see a task through to the end, if it is within my ability to do so. Alongside this though, I also like to take my time over projects, as trying to rush me often doesn't bring out the best results. Whilst being a hard worker, I do try to find time to purse other things. Editing here helps me to engage my brain in a nice task, and to relax my mind.. I am a good listener, and enjoy spending time with people I care about. Letting someone down is not something that I enjoy doing, so for my friends on here, you have the promise that if you ask something reasonable of me, I will try my best to do it, no matter the time restraints.

I'm fairly easygoing and calm the majority of the time however, and enjoy lighthearted discussions and conversations with people on a range of different topics. However, I don't respond well to people that go out of their way to make trouble for others, nor do I hold any respect for those that do little things in an attempt, whether intentional or not, to aggravate another user. Editing purely to increase your edit count will not place you very high up on my page of valuable editors either. At the front of my personal book of such editors are those who dedicate their time to things which require effort. These users do so without complaint or regard for their own sanity well-being. My tips: be enthusiastic, be respectful, use integrity, and lastly...give encouragement to other users when appropriate.

Regarding my interests, I have a number of hobbies! I both swim and run a lot, and have done so for a number of years. My other noteworthy interest at the moment is my love of all things Korean! I have been learning the language since December 2016 and am making significant progress towards my ultimate goal of fluency. I enjoy listening to Korean music (Kpop), and my favourite groups are EXO (엑소), Mamamoo (마마무), ASTRO (아스트로), AOA (에이오에이) and Highlight (하이리이트). I keep up with recent Kpop-related news, and love discussing it with others! I also enjoy watching Korean dramas and programmes, though I am saving much of my inevitable binge watching for a time when I can speak and understand the language better.

Within the Kingdom Hearts series, Roxas, or Roku, as I like to refer to him (Simply out of a like for him), is my favourite character.. It took me a while to decide who it was that I most liked, in which time I cycled through Zexion, Ventus, Aqua and even Larxene. I finally arrived at Roxas, after I realised that he was the only character that I really could empathise with throughout his troubles. I admire his resilience in times of struggle, and also his strength of mind to overcome the problems that he faces in his life. My favourite scene in the series also involves Roxas, alongside Xion, and holds the record for being the only scene to reduce me to tears. RokuShi forever!
