Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD is a high-definition re-release of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, released for the PlayStation 4. Unlike the previous high-definition playable re-released titles, due to the original's gameplay relying on two screens, Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD was remade entirely.
The title was first announced at a press conference ahead of the 2015 Tokyo Game Show on September 15, 2015 as part of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue.[1] It released in Japan on January 12, 2017, with a worldwide release on January 24, 2017.
