 Hello everyone, and welcome to the our first ever End of Year Event! The End of Year Event is an annual tradition we've brought over from other sites we've all been on to celebrate the end of the calendar year and welcome the new one! This year, our event will also celebrate the upcoming release of Kingdom Hearts III! So, what is this year's event? Read on to find out more! We hope you will all be able to join us!

Kingdom Hearts Marathon Challenge: Part I[edit source]
This year, we want to kick things off by hosting a full-on Kingdom Hearts series competition! With the series now entirely available on the PlayStation 4 in multiple forms (sorry Xbox owners), we want to invite everyone to play the entire series from now until the January 29 international release of Kingdom Hearts III. To make this a little more competitive (and fun), we're going to have everyone join three teams on our Discord server: Warrior, Mystic, and Guardian! Then, as a team, you will help each other gain as many of the trophies as possible for all nine titles. The goal is to have as many people as possible play as much of the games as possible before Kingdom Hearts III releases. You can share your progress in your team's special channel on our Discord server. If you stream, you can also invite others to join in on the fun by sharing your stream links to our server. We invite you to use "Kingdom Hearts Marathon Challenge" for your videos and streams, and the hashtag #KHDatabaseChallenge on social media as you share your progress (don't forget your KHIII hashtags, too!)

Start the Challenge[edit source]
You can join our challenge by diving into our Discord server and joining one of the teams (use the commands !dream-sword for Warrior, !dream-rod for Mystic, or !dream-shield for Guardian). Then, just start playing the games!
We encourage you to share a screenshot or picture (from your phone, if you need to) of you accomplishing the tasks to your team channel on our Discord server. You can join at any time and get going!
The 2018 End of Year Event starts on December 25, 2018 and continues until the midnight release of Kingdom Hearts III on Monday, January 28, 2019!
Kingdom Hearts Marathon Challenge: Part II[edit source]
With Kingdom Hearts III now released, we want to extend our marathon to the latest entry in the series. From now until the series's March 28 anniversary, you can join the same teams in our Discord server and help each other get as many or all of the trophies in the game, as well as all the in-game collectibles (Lucky Emblems, synthesis materials, recipes, etc.). As you do so, feel free to add whatever information you like to the Database! Can your team get the Kingdom Hearts III Master trophy?
Kingdom Hearts Social Media Challenge[edit source]
We will be hosting a 30-day social media challenge, starting December 30, 2018, on our Twitter and Discord! Each day, we'll post a topic using #KingdomHeartsIn30Days. We invite you to share your responses using the same hashtag! You can also discuss more in our special #kh-in-30 channel in our Discord server!
