Greetings, program. I'm KeybladeSpyMaster, senior admin and editor-in-chief here at the Kingdom Hearts Database. I'm also the site host/system admin, so feel free to message me here if you have any questions about contributing to the Database, technical issues on site, improvements and feedback, or just about anything Kingdom Hearts!
Been involved with wiki's for several years now. Originally started on the Kingdom Hearts Wiki, but have also contributed to the Square Enix Wiki, Kingdom Hearts Fanon Wiki, and other FANDOM wikis in the past. Currently an administrator/bureaucrat on the Square Enix Wiki and Final Fantasy Wiki.
Story
I first began playing Kingdom Hearts when I was perhaps ten or eleven. At the time, we had been renting video games from Blockbuster, and my mom allowed me and my younger brother to each choose one game to rent for the week. She and my brother insisted on this game with Mickey Mouse on the front and Captain Jack Sparrow on the back. We had just finished playing Shrek 2, which we had enjoyed, so I insisted on Shrek Super Slam. So, we rented both Shrek Super Slam and Kingdom Hearts II. Only one of those titles caught my intention profoundly, and seeing as this is not the Shrek Database, you can probably guess which one. In that week, we got up to Disney Castle. We weren't able to rent it again for some reason, but eventually realized we had been playing the sequel, a Christmas or two later, we had both Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II to play with.
The Kingdom Hearts Database is a project I've wanted to put together since I was probably thirteen or fourteen. It originally began as a Google Site and Facebook Page called "Kingdom Hearts Unofficial". Eventually, I found what is now the Keyhole (now the Kingdom Hearts FANDOM Wiki) and the Kingdom Hearts Wiki. While there, I helped organize several different projects, including the expansion of music coverage, the start of the Round Room Podcast, a joint-magazine with the Keyhole, and more. In 2018, I stepped down as administrator on the Kingdom Hearts Wiki, focusing my attention to building the Kingdom Hearts Database.
As you can read in About, I started the Kingdom Hearts Database on March 5, 2018. It began as an experiment, to try different and new ways of covering Kingdom Hearts content on the internet. I wanted the freedom to cover stuff like scripts, expand collaboration with other Kingdom Hearts sites, and cover the latest news (a particularly big sticking point for me that had not gained much traction on previous wikis. I didn't think I could break into covering news on an existing site like KH13 or KHInsider, so I decided to do it myself. From that eager idea to try something new, the Database has spawned and grown in scope to cover so much more than traditional wikis. I truly hope to build it into the ultimate source of Kingdom Hearts news, media, and information.
In addition to the Kingdom Hearts Database, I have helped organize March Caprice: A Celebration of Kingdom Hearts, an annual virtual Kingdom Hearts event meant to showcase the work and passion of the Kingdom Hearts community, and celebrate the series' March 28 anniversary. Aside from Kingdom Hearts, I've been a long-time fan of the Sonic the Hedgehog series (my first video game love), and so in 2020, I launched and am Editor-in-Chief (and sole editor) of the Sonic Archive. I'm also a fan of Tron, just about everything Disney, and now just about everything from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Despite already having plenty on my plate, I still plan on launching more wikis on more franchises and topics I'm passionate of. I've also been a long-time tech enthusiast; you'll catch me sounding off on almost everything new from Microsoft, Google, and occasionally, even overpriced Apple.
So, now you know all about me and what I do! Feel free to message me here or on Discord if you have any questions about the Database or what I'm doing! Can't wait to see what comes next!
End of line.

- The long-term vision that the Kingdom Hearts Database started, a community of independent wikis/sites that feature reliable information on a range of topics.
Why? FANDOM continues to monetize on people's free work without any regard for the editors or their opinions on running the site. They monetization model (read: ads) deteriorate the reading and editing experience. And I can't figure out why, but nearly every wiki suffers from a tendency to write run-on articles—articles that go on and on and on, are way too long, and make it hard to find what you're looking for. So, my idea is to start from scratch. Create wikis on topics I care about and do the coverage the way I think they ought to be done, and hopefully inspire more quality editing throughout the wiki community. Will it work? Who knows? But, "like you Users say... we won't know till we give it a try!"

Project Link: A community of independent wikis (regardless of host) that band together to help build each other as needed/requested.
This is effectively done. This first started as the Support for New and Operating Wikis alliance, or SNOW. But it didn't take off at all. Instead, in December 2022, the Kingdom Hearts Database joined the Gaming Wiki Network, which has a purpose that is effectively the same. The GWN has a significantly less-strict and less-"elitist" approach to working with other wikis; it's basically open to just about every independent video game wiki right now. And that's an approach I can agree with. All independent wikis should have the support they need to grow their community. After all, we all largely have the same goal.
