 Friends, it's December 1, and you know what that means! It's time for our annual year's end celebrations at the Kingdom Hearts Database! As you've (hopefully) noticed, there's a brand new theme, logo, and design decking the halls of the Kingdom Hearts Database as we come to the close of the year. Check out everything to see in this post, join in on the fun, and we hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

Themes and Gadgets[edit source]
Let's get the simple fun stuff out of the way: There's a brand new festive theme on the Kingdom Hearts Database, complete with a frosty logo! You'll see our holiday theme on site (if you're reading this, you should already see it), as well as across our Twitter, YouTube, Patreon, and Discord! For those who are registered, you're in for a treat! There's a new gadget you can enable by going to Preferences > Gadgets. Just check the box labeled "Winter" to see a gentle snowfall on each page you visit!
Editing Competition[edit source]
This year's event will include a small editing competition! The goal is simple: Make the most edits in December! The person who makes the most edits in December on the Kingdom Hearts Database will receive a small prize! (details on the prize will come later this week) What kinds of edits count? Contributions to the actual Database. That means edits to pages in the Mainspace, Walkthrough, Transcript, or Gallery spaces, as well as any uploaded files, count in your favor. What doesn't count? Edits in your userspace, talk pages of any kind, or the forums.
Series Challenge[edit source]
To cap off this incredible year and this incredible decade, we’re inviting the whole community to a challenge: We challenge you to play the entire Kingdom Hearts series between now and the end of December! There are no other conditions; you can play all the games in Beginner Mode, or up the ante by speedrunning it in Critical Mode, but you have to finish by December 31! This challenge, of course, does not include Kingdom Hearts χ, Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ, or Kingdom Hearts Union χ. What's more, we invite you to share with us the adventure by streaming or recording and posting your gameplay! Share your recordings and playthroughs using #KHDatabaseChallenge, and we'll retweet and share your videos everywhere we can!
