Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory DEMO Version is a free demo of Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory. The demo features four of field battle stages and two co-op stages that will be featured in the final game, but does not feature any story.

The title was announced for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch during the 2020 Tokyo Game Show on September 25, 2020. Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory DEMO Version was released worldwide on October 15, 2019.

Demo features[edit | edit source]

The demo features four field battle stages, each playable as Team Classic:

The demo also features two co-op stages, with Sora playable as Player 1 and Riku playable as Player 2:

Just as in the full game, each field battle stage and co-op stage has three difficulties (Beginner, Standard, and Proud), with the field battle stage also having three modes available in each difficulty: One-button, Basic, and Performer.

The demo also features a tutorial stage, "Dive to the Heart -Destati-", that plays at the beginning of the demo, allowing the user to become familiar with the controls of the game. The tutorial stage can be skipped and later replayed from the Options menu. However, once the tutorial was finished, the track was no longer playable without exiting and reentering the demo, or by choosing to replay the entire tutorial at the end of the song.

The demo doesn't have any save data; as a result, any scores achieved in the title will be lost as soon as the game is closed. It also will not transfer any data to the full game once released.

While the icons were present, items themselves weren't usable during the demo.
