- Kingdom Hearts III will release on Tuesday, January 29, 2019
The time has finally come. Five years almost to the day after the game was first announced, Kingdom Hearts III now has a release date!
Today, during the Los Angeles premiere of this year's Kingdom Hearts Orchestra -World Tour-, series director Tetsuya Nomura revealed a new trailer with the release date attached. Though the trailer is not public as of yet, the release date is! The official Kingdom Hearts Twitter account posted the confirming tweet shortly thereafter. Kingdom Hearts III will release on Friday, January 25, 2019 in Japan and Tuesday, January 29, 2019 internationally!
As of right now, no further details were unveiled. Nomura apologized for the slight delay, which pushes the game outside the original 2018 release window that was announced during D23 in July last year. Along with the release date also came the announcement for multiple trailers to be unveiled during E3 this upcoming week! And earlier today, it was announced that Kingdom Hearts III would be discussed during YouTube's "YouTube Live at E3" event tomorrow, June 10 at 4 PM PDT/7PM EDT! We'll have plenty to cover over the next few days, so keep an eye out for the latest news and information from us!
