News:Update for Kingdom Hearts III adds improvements, Critical Mode
- Updates 1.04 and 1.05 are set to release April 23
- Critical Mode to release as part of update 1.04
It's been almost three months since the worldwide release of Kingdom Hearts III, and since that time, we've been expecting the release of downloadable content for the game, including the highly-popular Critical Mode. Yesterday, we finally heard news on the launch.
Series director Tetsuya Nomura took to the series's official Twitter to announce that Critical Mode would release for the game today! Nomura also teased that it would be different from the past, though how exactly is not clear. However, Nomura has previously said that they want Critical Mode to be challenging, but enjoyable as well
In addition to Critical Mode, we now have leared from the official Japanese Square Enix website that there will actually be two updates to the game. The updates will deliver several improvements, including enemy behavior adjustments, better tracking of synthesized items in the Moogle Shop, and increasing the number of available slots in the Gummiphone's photo album to 200. Below is the full change list.
