Sora and Kairi spend their last evening before their confrontation with Master Xehanort in Destiny Islands, where they share paopu fruits with each other.

Sora and Kairi sit on the paopu fruit tree and watch Riku from the islet.
Sora: "Hey, why's Riku all alone?"
Kairi: "He said he needed time to himself. Let's let him be."
Kairi pulls a pair of paopu fruits from the tree.
Kairi: "Here."
Sora: "Huh?"
Kairi: "Tomorrow's fight will be our toughest yet. I want to be a part of your life no matter what. That's all."
Sora: "Kairi, I'll keep you safe."
Kairi: "Let me keep you safe."
Sora and Kairi share their paopu fruits with each other.
