Leon, formerly Squall Leonhart, is the leader of the Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee who leads Aerith, Yuffie, Cid, and Merlin in fighting against the Heartless. He gave up his real name as a sign of giving up his past self, who had been powerless against the Heartless. He originates from Square's 1999 PlayStation title Final Fantasy VIII.
