- Kingdom Hearts series releases on PC via the Epic Games Store

Square Enix and Disney today released the entirety of the Kingdom Hearts series on the Epic Games Store, marking the first time the series is available on PC. Today's release includes Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, Kingdom Hearts III and Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind, and Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory. The Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind (DLC) title will feature 4K resolution for the first time.
There are a few promotional bonuses with purchasing the games on the Epic Games Store. First off, there's now a sale in celebration of the release. All the titles are 20% off until April 6, 2021. Additionally, those who purchase Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind (DLC) will receive the new Elemental Encoder Keyblade, currently exclusive to the Epic Games version of the game. Finally, those who purchase Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind (DLC) by May 31 will receive a three-month subscription to Disney+, courtesy of the Epic Games Store, if they are not already subscribed to Disney+.

Already, there are some notable changes in the game. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX appears to have a new "Game Settings" page, with options to change the display, frame rate, refresh rate, and configure sound, gamepad, and keyboard settings. One of the major improvements being discussed is the ability to change the frame rate, going as high as 120 frames per second.
