"The Icing on the Cake" is a cutscene in the high-definition remake of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days.

Axel buys Roxas sea-salt ice cream, and they eat it at the top of the clock tower. Even though they had already done so the week before, when Roxas first joined the Organization, Roxas doesn't seem to remember it. Axel tries to be encouraging about Roxas's beginning, working for Organization XIII.
Transcript[edit | edit source]
Axel: "The icing on the cake."
Roxas: "Huh?"
Axel: "You remember what this ice cream is called?"
Roxas: "It's umm..."
Axel: "Sea-salt ice cream. I already told you before. Get it memorized."
Roxas: "It's salty...but sweet."
Axel: "Roxas, you said the same exact thing the other day."
Roxas: "I did? I don't remember..."
Axel: "So what has it been, a week since you joined the Organization?"
Roxas: "I guess it has..."
Axel: "You guess it has? C'mon, you must remember that much. Well, here you are, finally out in the field, working for the Organization, right?"
Roxas: "For the Organization..."
Axel: "You might even say that today is where it all really begins for you."
Roxas: "Where it all begins..."
Roxas (in narration): "As a member of the Organization, I'll be receiving missions everyday... But I'm still not exactly sure what I'm supposed to do."
