Organization XIII was a group of thirteen powerful Nobodies whose plan was to create Kingdom Hearts from the hearts captured by the Heartless.
Founded by Xemnas and Xehanort, the Organization's true purpose was to prepare thirteen vessels to receive Xehanort's heart and mind through Kingdom Hearts and become the thirteen seekers of darkness needed to create the χ-blade. However, many proved inadequate, and the Organization was ultimately eliminated by Sora and his friends. Anticipating this possibility, Xehanort tasked his younger self with recreating the group as the Real Organization XIII.
