- Patches were released for Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue for the Epic Games Store.
Square Enix tonight announced that patches had released for the PC versions of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue in the Epic Games Store. Today's updates bump up HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX to version 1.0.0.8 and HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue to version 1.0.0.5, and fix various issues that have been reported in both titles as well as improving the stability of each.
Previously, the development team was rather mute on support and fixes for the PC versions of the series, despite a growing number of reports amongst the community regarding the stability of nearly all the titles in the series, resulting in the #FixKHonPC trend online. However, with the update back in July[1] and today's updates, Square Enix seems to be showing more commitment to these ports, a welcome and encouraging sight for the growing PC segment of the Kingdom Hearts community. The tweet announcing today's updates promises the team is listening to feedback, so be sure to keep submitting it! Our forum for reporting known issues in the PC titles is still open for anyone who wishes to help document these issues.

- Fixed a bug where the application shuts down when using a video streaming application.
- Fixed a bug where the sound volume is reset to the default level when skipping events in KINGDOM HEARTS FINAL MIX.
- Fixed a bug where the player lost control of their character after taking damage while performing specific actions, until being hit again, in Hollow Bastion in KINGDOM HEARTS II FINAL MIX.
- Fixed a bug where sound effect volume increases when hitting an enemy multiple times with magic attacks in KINGDOM HEARTS II FINAL MIX.
- Fixed a bug where the game shuts down when losing connection to the controller while playing Castle Circuit in KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep FINAL MIX.
