Giantland is a minigame available through the Classic Kingdom in Kingdom Hearts Union χ and Kingdom Hearts III. In the game, Sora must escape a giant's tower through a window, where Mickey is already waiting.
Giantland is based on Walt Disney’s 1933 animated short "Giantland".

Kingdom Hearts III[edit | edit source]
Olette explains that she and Hayner work for Uncle Scrooge, who has put up short films to play in the courtyard in Twilight Town. She then explains to Sora that he can scan a code on the short film's poster, which automatically downloads a promo game for the movie. This unlocks the Classic Kingdom minigame Giantland on Sora's gummiphone.
Gameplay[edit | edit source]
The objective is to guide Sora past an awoken giant, avoiding the giant's crushing fists and feet and using the action button to trigger events that help you reach a window above the giant, where King Mickey awaits. Sora starts under a table, and must get to a spoon on the other side, which the giant can stomp to send Sora flying onto the tabletop. Once atop the table, you must guide Sora to the other end to pull the curtain string and open the window, avoiding the giant's fists. Then, Sora must run back to the other side of the table and use the pepper to cause the giant to sneeze, sending Sora onto the ceiling to catch one of the chandeliers. Once there, Sora must swing to the other chandelier, and then to the window to reunite with Mickey. In each level, the giant pounds his fists and stomps his feet faster, requiring quicker responses.
Giantland was one of the games introduced in Classic Kingdom in Kingdom Hearts Union χ, and was part of the challenge to receive the Starlight Keyblade for Kingdom Hearts III. In order to qualify, one must escape the giant's tower a total of fifty times.
Origin[edit | edit source]
"Giantland" is an animated short released on November 25, 1933 as part of the Mickey Mouse series of cartoons. It's based on the fairy tale "Jack and the Beanstalk", with Mickey Mouse playing the role of Jak. In the cartoon, Mickey tells his nephews the fairy tale, with himself replacing Jack. He arrives in Giantland, a place where everything is large up in the clouds, and rides a giant butterfly to a castle, when the giant arrives. Mickey quickly hides among the food on the giant's table and is almost eaten in a cheese sandwich as a result. When Mickey's discovered, the giant begins to chase Mickey, who launches a spoonful of pepper in his face, causing him to sneeze and blow away one of the castle's walls. Mickey quickly runs to the beanstalk and climbs down it, setting it on fire once he reaches the ground and causing the giant to fall down and create a giant hole in the ground.
