Classic Kingdom is a series of mini-games in the form of a handheld LCD games, similar to a Game & Watch. It was first introduced in the CLASSIC KINGDOM trailer on April 15th, 2018 as a part of Kingdom Hearts III. On September 2nd, 2018, Tetsuya Nomura released a statement saying that it would be available to play in Kingdom Hearts Union χ as a part of the game's 3rd anniversary. On September 5th, Square Enix North America announced on their "SE Mobile Community Stream" that it would also be coming to the international versions of Kingdom Hearts Union χ.
Kingdom Hearts Union χ[edit | edit source]
In Kingdom Hearts Union χ, Classic Kingdom is a part of χ3 [ex tres] mode, where players can play the mini-games and be ranked against other players online.
Kingdom Hearts III[edit | edit source]
In Kingdom Hearts III, Sora can play twenty-three Classic Kingdom games on the Gummiphone. All of them can be found throughout the worlds. Sora unlocks the Classic Tone Keyblade once he has played through all the Classic Kingdom titles.

Limited-Time Challenge[edit | edit source]
As a part of Kingdom Hearts Union x's 3rd anniversary, players were able to participate in a special limited-time challenge where earning high enough scores would earn them the ability to wield the Starlight keyblade in Kingdom Hearts III. The scores needed for each challenge are as follows:
- Fishin' Frenzy: Obtain a score of 7,500
- Giantland: Escape 50 times
- The Musical Farmer: Obtain a score of 5,000
- The Karnival Kid: Obtain a score of 30,000
- The Barnyard Battle: Obtain a score of 25,000
On January 10th, 2019, requirements for the Starlight Keyblade were halved. The new scores needed for each challenge are as follows:
- Fishin' Frenzy: Obtain a score of 3,750
- Giantland: Escape 25 times
- The Musical Farmer: Obtain a score of 2,500
- The Karnival Kid: Obtain a score of 15,000
- The Barnyard Battle: Obtain a score of 12,500
