Flame Core is a Heartless that appears in Olympus and Monstropolis in Kingdom Hearts III.

Having arrived in Olympus, Sora, Donald, and Goofy's reunion with Hercules in the town of Thebes is interrupted when a hail of Flame Cores assaults the town. The group puts their new partnership to work to defeat the Heartless nuisance.[1] Later, having been tasked by Hercules with searching Thebes for townspeople in danger during Hades's attack, another Flame Core swarm crashes across Sora, Donald and Goofy's path. After defeating the Heartless the trio continue on through Thebes, eventually coming to the Gardens where they find a woman trapped atop a pillar, the ground below her filled with Flame Cores. She calls desperately for Hercules, but it is Sora, Donald, and Goofy that discover her. They quickly run over and defeat the Heartless.[2] The trio continue their travels to the Big Olive, where they find two townspeople surrounded by a swarm of Heartless that includes Flame Cores. Another fight and rescue ensues. Eventually Sora and company reach a temple on the outskirts of town and run inside to find Hercules holding the collapsing building up on his back, trying to protect a huddle of scared civilians from another swarm of Flame Cores. The trio jump straight to clearing the Heartless away.[3]
