In the midst of their travels, Sora, Donald, and Goofy receive instruction from Chip and Dale to travel to Twilight Town, where Merlin is waiting to give them news about the Winnie the Pooh book. Upon their arrival, Merlin reveals the book to Sora, who quickly notices that his image has been removed from its cover, leaving Pooh sitting alone. Confused, Sora agrees to travel inside the book to see what has caused this change.

Sora arrives to find Pooh and Piglet sitting together and when Pooh welcomes Sora home, Sora is surprised to find they recognize him. Neither of the pair has noticed anything strange in their world and Sora agrees that everything seems normal. Rabbit arrives next, followed by Roo, who is riding atop a new friend of the 100 Acre Wood, a purple elephant named Lumpy. Gopher then arrives, followed last but not least by Tigger, who triggers a round of bouncing fun.

Rabbit calls order to the group and explains to Sora that everyone has gathered to help him with the harvest. He employs Sora's help and together the group clears the garden of vegetables and fruits. They finish up by clearing the Orchard, foraging through the flowers to find honey as a reward for Pooh, who has been especially helpful to Rabbit's cause.

After Pooh has tucked into his honey, he pulls Sora aside to thank him for the gift. He then tells Sora that Sora used to be in heart, but now he is missing and Pooh is wondering why he left. Understanding Pooh's comments about home, Sora assures Pooh that they could never forget each other and they are always together. To himself, however, Sora admits that he can now feel that their connection is weaker and he isn't sure why. As they watch the flowers flutter around them, Sora's image is restored on the front of the book.
